Want to write to Laurie?
There are two ways to do it.
1) If you want a private response, you have to do it the old-fashioned way,
courtesy of the US Postal Service and a stamp.
Write a letter and send it to: Laurie Halse Anderson, P.O. Box, 906, Mexico,
NY 13114.
Please be patient. The mail piles up when Laurie is
writing or on the road.
Laurie asks that teachers who are sending many letters at once tell their students that Laurie will be writing one letter to the entire class. When the mail gets very heavy, she sometimes has to respond with a form letter. This is an ugly fact of life. She begs forgiveness and hopes readers understand. If she didn't do this, she'd never have time to write another book. And that would stink.
2) If you have a question that you want her to answer in a public way, you can email it to comments at writerlady dot com.
Every couple of weeks, these questions are forwarded to Laurie and she responds to them on her online journal.

Why have we displayed email addresses in this strange way?
Because spammers are evil and we are fighting them.
Please note... We work hard to confirm that all sites linked to from Writerlady are appropriate for students.
However the Web is a tricky place. There
are a few scumbags out there who don't care much about kids.
We strongly advise parents and schools to use net-filtering software and to
monitor their children's use of the Internet.
